Okay, let’s talk about a pain point most of us have wrestled with at some point — sharing links on Instagram.
We know IG doesn’t make it easy. No clickable links in captions, multiple link strategies, and constant testing. And yet, we still need to drive traffic from a platform that prefers to keep users on it.
I’ve seen everything from:
- The classic “link in bio” (with Linktree, Beacons, or custom landing pages)
- Swipe-ups (RIP to the old version 😅) now replaced with link stickers in Stories
- DM automation (“Drop ‘INFO’ below and I’ll send the link” — great for engagement)
- Using Pinned Posts or Highlights to store evergreen links
- And even getting crafty with Instagram Notes for link prompts
But here's the thing — what works for one niche or client doesn't always translate to another.
👉 So, I’m curious:
What’s working best for you when it comes to sharing links on IG?
Are you noticing more clicks from Stories, bios, or comments?
Have you found a clever workaround that feels more natural to your audience?
